Classroom Manipulatives for Students (incorporating a Teacher's Toolkit) |

| This set extends the familiar puzzle to allow various investigations from straight forward recognition to fairly advanced topics found in high school courses including coordinate geometry and transformations. | |||

The sets comprise of a container with a sticker showing 25 puzzles to solve. These 25 puzzles are reproduced in a small booklet. Each puzzle is full size and needs to completely covered using the 7 pieces. |
The teachers set comprises of a laser cut Perspex set and a Perspex transparent OHP grid. With these tools the teacher can easily direct the class and demonstrate certain principles that students may find difficult. | ||

For young students (4-7) the sets can be used to reinforce recognition. |

Under the container is a grid (18 x 18 cm). Students may be asked to place the pieces in certain positions or investigate symmetry and transformations. |
The transparent pieces and the grid help the teacher to give clear, visual guidance to the whole class when it is necessary. |

| Students must reflect and write down their findings. A 22-page workbook is provided to make the investigations more formal and meaningful. The exercises range from recognition and visualization to tessellations and investigating angles. | |||

 Using
21 transformations (including translations, rotations and a reflection)
the square is transformed into the figure of a chicken. Each translation
